PRODUCT FAQ
Technical questions specific to the LV low-voltage LED strip series (DC12V/24V).
Low-voltage strips run on DC12V/24V and require a power supply unit. They are SELV – no electric shock risk – and support precise dimming and smart control. They deliver flicker-free, softer light. High-voltage strips connect directly to AC220V, better for long distances but with higher safety concerns.
12V is suitable for short-distance, low-power applications (e.g. cabinet lighting, small decorative areas). 24V has lower current, reduced voltage drop, and better stability – recommended for longer runs and professional projects. For general interiors, 24V is preferred.
Typically, we recommend a maximum of 5 metres per power feed. Beyond 10 metres, voltage drop becomes noticeable – brightness decreases farther from the power source. Use parallel wiring or dual-end feeding for longer installations.
60 LEDs/m is adequate for general indirect lighting in an extrusion channel. 120 LEDs/m delivers a very uniform, dot-free appearance – ideal for background walls and direct view. For wall-washing or curved installation, consider 168 LEDs/m.
Yes, crucial. Professional strips should have Ra ≥ 80 (national standard). For high-end projects, Ra ≥ 90 is recommended to render colours naturally and accurately.
Yes. Low-voltage strips cannot be directly connected to AC220V/230V mains power. A matched constant-voltage power supply is required for normal operation.
